Basking Larva ,17 09 09


Hi all,quite a few broom moth larva about at the moment,they like to bask in afternoon sun,this ones on bracken,but can be found on quite a few plants,ie heather,broom,also found them on ragwort,geranium to name a few,wether these last 2 are used as foodplants not sure ! all the best Bri.

Hi all,found 2 epiblema sp on common knapweed,yesterday 14 05 09,i know theres 3 sp very similar,on foodplant cirsiana would appear more apt,or is it gen det job ?brilliant pattern and texture.can anyone recommend a decent sweepnet for heather .all the best bri.

Hi all,finally swept this Grey Scalloped Bar larva and 7 green form of Heath Rustic on langfield common last night,the winds abated for once,hope computer problems sorted ! nice emperor pics winston.all the best bri.

Hi all,Got this Grey Scalloped Bar Larva along with 7 green form of Heath Rustic on heather ,swept last night,as finally the winds abated ! Amazing camoflage on heather stems, Computer problem must have been local connection ! as it suddenly came back on !Looking forward to next trip.all the best bri .

micro


10 mottled grey,2 twin spot quaker,engrailed and usuals,also a micro caloptilia species,sent c fletcher a pic,possibly stigmatella ! on 31 03 09.
